I have heard arctic silver thermal paste is the best kind, is this true? My slk-948U heatsink came with some no name thermal paste in the package, will this work just as good as arctic silver? Say I put this no name stuff on now, would it be possible to remove it and replace it with arctic silver later or are you only supposed to apply thermal paste once?

AS will be better then the no name stuff that game with the heatsink. Better in prob a couple degress C woudl be the differenence between the 2. You can apply the stuff that you got now, and then at a later time remove it completly and put AS on it. But I woudl suggest since you got a really nice nice high perf heatsink why not just put AS on and get the max out of your nice shinny heatsink

AS is good stuff.. Not only does it transfer heat from one surface to another very efficiently, but it tastes pretty good too..

I originally had some no-name stuff and then when I got some AS in it lowered my load temp from 52 to 45, so it is some pretty decent stuff
