Alright, shipments are supposed to be in TODAY 8/04 - post ASAP if you get an order confirmation/ship confirmation and which version/number in line you are if you know

12th for E6600

Lots of places that turn up on froogle list an ETA of today, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

yeah you have to remember that there has been several "official" release dates already, and there has been no "official" release, just a few guys here and there with retail 6300 and 6400, a couple of 6600 and 6800, but i havent heard of anyone getting a retail 6700 yet. i think latest "official" release date is 8/7, but many stores are saying 8/14. i pre-ordered a 6600 from monarch on the first day it was available, and they claim i will have my cpu on or before 8/14. but i have been waiting many months already, and can wait the last 2 or 3 weeks no sweat.

Currently got a X6800 backordered. #105 in line. Supposedly, two warehouses have chips scheduled for today. But like others have said, it's probably very wishful thinking to believe that I'll get it anytime this month. Ah well, need to wait for the dfi 590 anyways...

I was going to pick on ShopBLT's name and ask if sell sandwiches, but then I saw their inventory system and prices and damn, they have a pretty cool site. So kudos to them.

39th in line for the e6700 was told i'd be in the first wave. no word from them yet.

btw, i went into a local retailer yesterday and they told me that anything less than 650 for an e6700 is "impossible"....i'm not really sure how you can be a computer retailer and not ever look on the internet at competitors prices. Their ETA at that price was mid-september too.

I am still waiting as well and looks like another empty promise for the 8/4 shipment date.

I was just looking on resellerratings and this (positive) review for shopblt was added today:

BLT handled the pre-order business very well. I had ordered a Core 2 Extrme Conroe CPU, a very popular new product. BLT kept thier availability up to date and responded promptly to my inquiries. As soon as they received thier shipment of CPUs, they sent mine to me. I might also mention that even though maney people wanted this premium product, BLT did not charge an inflated price as did so many other places. I will definitely shop with them again!

well maybe with any luck blt is still keeping their availability up to date and its STILL expected for today? I sort of doubt they will ship today, but if they actually do receive them in the warehouses I will be quite pleased.

Talked to them on the phone. The guy who I talked too seemed to be in charge. He said that he had a large shipment enroute for mid august (1000s). That should quell any rumours that only 50 can be sent per week.
