Q. I want to crimp network connectors myself. What is the correct order for a straight-through cable and a crossover cable?
A. The wiring standards for CAT-5 are the EIA/TIA 568-A and the EIA/TIA 568-B standards. To be honest, it doesnt really matter much as to which standard you decide upon, so long as both ends have the same pin-out for a straight-through cable, or an A on one end and a B on the other end for crossover cables.
