After deciding to replace my bad IC7-MAX 3 with an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe, I'm left with the quesiton of what RAM to buy. I previously went with PC-3200, specifically Mushkin PC-3200 2-2-2 Special and Corsair XMS PC-3200, but I ended up having to RMA those because my faulty Abit probably killed them and/or they were bad. What I am looking for are recommendations as to what RAM you guys personally recommend, have heard great things about, or avoid completely. I'm pretty much set on PC-3700 for overclocking headroom, but I'm open to suggestions. Here's what I've been looking at:

Kingston Hyper-X PC-3700

Corsair XMS PC-3700

OCZ Enhanced Latency PC-3700

Please, do not hesitate to suggest the most reputable RAM you have encountered, regardless of manufacturer. I plan on ordering in the morning, and I'm depending on this thread to help me pick RAM that will play nice with my new P4C800-E. I really appreciate any advice, guys.

Look for some Mushkin level 2 pc3500, might be tricky to find but it is the best.
 
PC3700 will just give you 2-3% worse performance then what you would get with PC3200. No purpose in buying it. You dont need overclocking headroom. Even PC3700 wont be much headroom if you intend to overclock very much and then you'll have to run a divider anyways and your timings will suck hurting performance even more.

My suggestion is Mushkin PC3200 lvl 1 which uses CH-5 chips. Set your divider to 5:4 and overclock as high as you please. Timings should run 2-3-2-5 no problem.
 
PC-3700 won't allow me to push my 2.8C farther than PC-3200 would allow? I thought that was the point of buying high-speed RAM? Anyways, what other PC-3200 would you recommend? And is it just me, or did RAM prices on newegg jump up tremendously in a day or so? I bought the Mushkin 2-2-2 Special for $280 and now it's over $300!

He's saying that if you run both PC3200 and PC3700 at DDR400 speeds, with whatever timings come stock, the 3700 will be slower.

However, in real life you can either tighten the timings on the 3700 while running it at DDR400, overclock, or a combination of those, which means that 3700 is indeed faster.
