• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I hit a 100k in this today.

For those possibly interested, you should do some research on this project before running it. The work units can take several hundred hours sometimes and they can also take over CPU cores from multi GPU rigs that have cores reserved for GPU's. Another big concern is that RAM requirements can balloon at times all the way up to 16GB per work unit. There is no identifying the work units demanding this outside of babysitting each work unit. So, make sure whatever system runs these is watched very carefully.

Additionally, those long WU's also don't checkpoint at all for the first several days at least. If you need to shut down BOINC during that time, the WU's will start over again from the beginning.

The good news is I have noticed lately the WU's I have received are all small and only compute for an hour each. I haven't received any of the huge WU's since before the holidays.

Project has been down for a few days now. Not sure if it is dead or just needing maintenance.

BOINCStats retired the project. According to another member that emailed the dept. the project is unlikely to return.
