I think that this forum should be named

Optical Disk Drives and Removable Storage

I mean, isn't a spare hard drive a backup drive too? "Backup drive" sounds too vague to me.

yeh I have a whole new learning curve

actually I think my original proposal was Optical and Tape

But we might expand this section to deal with NAS, SAN, DNAS
and just have DAS in the other forum?

Backup is a nebulous term
