The display dilemma

Right now, I have three monitors, all hand-me-down crts. A 17 inchdell trinitron(white), a 19 inch dell trinitron(black) and a 17 inch emachine(silver) with an annoyingly bright front led. The trinitrons are hooked up to my main computer and the emachine is for my mythtv box.

Now, I've finally decided that its time to upgrade to an LCD now that their price has come down to a reasonable level. I would like to upgrade to something a little bit bigger and the 2007fpw looks mighty tempting. The problem with that is the fact that I would most likely have to ditch my tri-monitor setup due to the lack of desk space (I only have about an inch of extra space under my hutch between my A/V stack and the current monitors) , along with the lack of component input (any other suggestions for something similar with more inputs?) I could go with the non-widescreen version, but I don't feel like playing the dell LCD lottery. If I was to go with the dual widescreens I would probably just plug the mythtv box into the VGA on one of the screens and just switch between the computers.

Also, does anyone know of any app that acts like ultramon in reverse? I would be a lot more satisfied with the setup if I knew there was a program that would split the desktop down the middle thus giving each app a "maximize to first half" type option.

Thanks all in advance I know it was a bit wordy, but I would just like to hear your input on what route I should take.

update: upon measuring, I have 49 inches of width to work with for the setup; plus a spark notes for my post:

1. I have three small crts now (2 17s and a 19inch)
2. 2 are on the main comp, one is just for mythtv.
3. I want to upgrade to a multi lcd setup (should I go with 2, 20" widescreens or something different?)
4. I like the 2007fpw, but I dislike the lack of component input (is there a recommended equivilent?)
5. Is there a program that will allow me to trick a window to maximize to just half the screen?

Again, thanks in advance.
