So last night I got bored and decided to make a keychain out of an old p1 200mhz I had laying around... I spent about 4 hours breaking off all the pins with a pair of pliers, then used a mini screwdriver to put a hole in it, and took a small chain and ring off my pocketknife and put it on there... here it is.

I thought about that, but I don't have money for a dremel and I was too impatient to wait 'til the next day and borrow one from a friend... Besides, this project was just to kill time and the 4+ hour plier method does that much better than the 30 second dremel method :)
 
impressive. i have a P4 3.0C on a keychain - long story. the pins are best removed with a dremel and sanding drum attachment. ;)

/me goes off to dig up the keychain and look at $400 well spent (bought it new).

ok ok twist my arm. i bought it new for that much 2 years ago, decided to remove the IHS, nicked the PSB. tried reattaching the IHS with thermal epoxy - no go (would barely run at 3.0). got pissed, dremel was just sitting there, and.... bzzzzzz!!!! ok anyway. enjoy your keychain.

Dremmel takes those pins off the CPU in about 10 seconds :D

Old sticks of ram work good for keychains too..I sell them on a regular bases for 3 bucks a piece.
 
I also did a p4 1.8ghz keychain. It was a burnt p4 :( . I took me a bit of long time to take out all the pins since I don't have a dremmel. Time to buy one I think.

I have a dead 2600+ and a stick of EDO (8mb) on my keychain ;) :p :D
 
Hmmm good idea. I shall go to a pawn shop to pic up an old cpu. Don't have any extra aprts cept a mobo, power supply, and case.
