ha looking at homedepot like two days ago and found a new dremel i was going to buy it but it look cheap'ly made any news on that.

yeah, the new 400XPR 2amp. I'm getting one (the #400-3/51 Dremel 400 Series XPR kit) from my gf for xmas (well, I'm getting early, I can't wait, but its FOR xmas).

Now I can stop borrowing my brother's.

I like it b/c I don't ANY attachments and whatnot (once again, I always used my bros). I didn't getthe one with the planar or saw attachment (since I really have no need for those and couldn't justify the additional cost).

Can't wait to get it (hurry up Sears!!!!)

personally i really like the dremel with the flex shaft attachment. its something smaller to hold onto and doesnt vibrate as much.

The 400XPR 2amp comes with the flex shaft...Which is a cool and useful accessory

Tenchi4U, did you steal my sig quote? ;)
No my friend, I believe it is YOU who stole your sig from me! :p (I've been using that in my sig since my initial sign-up in July, you joined in October....hmmm....)

There is only one way to settle this, by continuing to do absolutely nothing.

I've got the xpr, and it's great! I don't have anything to compare it to tho... its my first dremel, and I got it for my bday! W00T. It really kicks butt.... whenever i can hold my hand still enough. its really comfy, and the sparks are really awesome. No trouble at all, no overheating, but it breaks those darned cutting wheels so easily :D

hm i see my dremel didn't come with a flex shaft think i shod get one?

my gf just bought me the 400XPR last night, i didnt get the one with the planar or multisaw as i dont really need them. i am going to pick up the mini-router attachment though :)

this thing is awesome, beats the crap out of my old generic dremel :D

hey domoMKIV,
Did you get the router attachment? I was thinking about getting an XPR but i the (plunge) router attachment only fit the multi-pro then I would be forced to go that way.

yeah i picked up the router attachment.....fitted the XPR in it but never used it, i returned it as I wasnt going to do enough "routing" to keep it around.

dremel attachments break wayy too often and cost too much to buy again. :D

Thats why you have to buy the generic ones. They are cheaper and are the same quality as the actuall bits made by dremel.
