Thanks!

T32, but wanted to thank you guys for all you've done, for FAH in general, over the years, and now especially for the 4p systems. Both are amazing!

I'd like to invite you to join in the race this May, but if I may make a suggestion:

The race is for *fun*. Please listen to the fun vibe, drop your "pitchforks", join in the "dance", and have some fun. Refrain from poking your teammates - whether they fold or not. **

We've found over the years that in the CC, poking your teammates and trash talk with other teams (beyond a low level), is not the way to go - it's more of a fun killer, and a net loser. Refrain from calling anyone or team, a "cheater", and keep your sense of humor.

Smiling and a sense of humor, is definitely the way to enjoy the race.

** If someone passes you during the race, it's OK. They can't run far, and it's all part of the fun to catch them again. :D

We have some great 4P pros.

The CC, as we have said in the past, no thank you.

Yeah, I nominate Kendrak as the official [H]ard spokesman about these matters. He represents us pretty accurately in these things...

aint going to happen, been brought up many times, a few different reasons for it.

The reply ought to be followed by getting the thread locked.

I understand the feeling, however he isn't pushing the topic.... yet. As that would be unwise.

OP, we get this topic once a week around this time of the year. And every time, for years the answer has been and will be no.

We would be happy to talk about the 4P goodness though.

The emphasis should be on the "Thank You" part of the post. Your work on this has been extraordinary!

Since I have Interlagos (6272), I'm curious why they can't be OC'd, of course.

I offered the "focus on fun" suggestion only because I've folded in the CC for several years.

For most commercial installations, the number of threads, the cost of the cpu, and the power it uses, is far more important than the number of fpu it has.

On all those factors, Interlagos is a success.

And no, you can't count the cost of used chips on ebay. No data center I know of, will be buying used chips from eBay.

Why? The warm fuzzing from 'new' is completely artificial. Just like buying from 'Major' Computer like Sun, HP. IBM, etc. I have seen more stuff come broken from Sun and IBM than is funny. Dumbass managers get a artificial sense of not being responsible from over priced service agreements. With CPUs, it is pretty much they work or don't. Nothing wrong with used here.

When I said people, I was reffering to the folding community.

We are not exactly running a comercial data center here ;)

I buy used when ever I can. I don't buy cases when I don't have to. My 4P system is sitting on a slab of cardboard.

Leaves more money for more "D"!

Q: When will this have IL support?
A: "When AMD makes a Family 15h CPU that doesn't suck" - tear

For folding, IL does truly sucks. We have limited resources for this project, and IL support simply does not fit into the plan.
