Testing HDD streaming capability?

Western Digital has their Purple drives that claim they can record 64 simultaneous HD camera streams. They have older ones which can do 13 and finally a little 2.5" AV-25 drive which can do 5.

I'd like to test what happens if you surpass their specifications, but I'm not sure what the term is called in HDD testing lingo. I'm sure I can modify Crystal DiskMark by adjusting the queues or threads, but which is it?

Anyone have an idea of what I change to test their claims? Or is there a better program out there?
