Temporary subforums in Games section ?

What i would like to see is temporary subforums in the Games section.

At every major release of a game the first 3+ pages is nothing but threads about that particular game, threads are made about the game that doesnt even include the games title in the thread title.

Not to mention that European readers, that get the game long after the US readers have already finished the game, have to browse through several pages containing nothing but threads about a game they just cant have yet, and very often the thread title have spoilers too.

So i would like to see temporary subforums when a major title is released, like a Doom3 subforum, although a little late now even that Europeans havent got the game yet.

But maybe something to take into consideration when HalfLife2 is released.

Just a temporary subforum that when the game dies out all the threads are merged with the main Games forum and the subforum deleted.

Theres really no room for discussion of other games the way it is now, threads about other games are quickly on second page without any replies or very few replies.

Just an idea....

The short answer is HardForum has never done this and soon all this hype will die down so they just let it be. and then the forum will be back to normal until some other game comes out like quake 4 and then they will also just let it go.

We have a Doom 3 thread. Supposedly, MajorDomo was supposed to clean it up. He made the thread, I thought he was going to lock any Doom 3 threads that came up or something? I may be confused here..

I tried to combine the threads that were already posted into one and it turned into a giant clusterfuck so the thread was closed......... and since there will be no sub-forum created, the Doom 3 threads will run their natural irritating course......sorry

The best remedy is to not post in the threads and they will die in a few hours, but as we all know, thay will never happen

The efforts of trying to keep threads in one sticky is much [H]arder than just making a temporary subforum.

I run a vB forum myself and now how easy it is to add a subforum, a 10 sec job, and with the [H]ardware these [H]|Forums run on, it would prolly only take a few mins or less merging all the threads in that subforum with the threads in the main games forum

A little care of us European readers that dont get the games as fast as in the US would be appreciated

The [H] is kinda an international website, many non-US visitors/members, right now im looking at my Abit mobo cardboard box, a taiwanese mobo, bought in Denmark, with the [H] approved logo on it, that makes the [H] international to me
