I'm getting a new P4 3.0c delievered from NewEgg tomarrow (hopefully 30cap) and was wondering what kind of range of temps are "normal" for a P4 idle and underload, and what is the safe highend to keep a chip at under idle and low?

I've been an AMD guy for awhile, so I have no idea...

Thanks...

You should idle in the mid to upper 30C's and load at 50C.

As long as you stay under 60C, you should feel comfortable. 70C is when you should start to worry.
