Temp fluctuations...an open question

I have been conducting a test of my system temps looping various graphic programs and playing demanding games, when time allows. I have logged some very interesting results.
First of all, this is my first AMD (FX-55) system so I wasn't quite sure what to expect as I have always used hot Intel chips.
The reason I chose water-cooling was because my NForce4 Chipset was running way too hot and I was getting the blue screen of death. My case was too small as well.
So after much advice form the very helpful people in this forum I took the plunge.
Most of you know my system so I won't go into that, but here are the results from my tests.

1. CPU-temps never fluctuate more than 3-4 degrees C, no matter what I do. :D
2. GPU's-temps fluctuate 5-7 degrees C for the first card and 3-4 for the second card. :D
3. NB-temps fluctuate dramatically, idle at 27 and then spike to-44, something has to be wrong here.

I use six temp sensors on my Aquaero and of course one flow sensor. The case temp only fluctuates 1 degree, if at all. If I OC the Aquasteam (65HZ) my XT drops 2 degrees within minutes, Shoggy said it would as did TN.
Since I am now the proud owner of 2 Aquastreams I am considering putting the NB on its own loop. Of course I may have a defective MB, but I have read much about the NB being very hot on these boards. Even the ASUS techs tell me the NB is way too hot on their boards, which is why they have (supposedly) upgraded the NB fan. I will say after water-cooling the NB my temps have dropped, but I still sense something smells fishy in Denmark. Any comments?

Have you reseated the NB block? I find that mine ran very cool and stayed flatlined in regards to temps.

I would personally put the two graphics cards on their own loop and run the CPU / NB on a different loop.

Are you doing in-the-coolant temp sensing or do you have the sensors taped to the side of the blocks? The only accurate way to figure out what is going on is to measure the water temps.

Water temps tend to stay around 27.3-27.9, which is another point that  me.
The water temps do not fluctuate as much as the blocks do, more confusion.
I am going to re-seat the NB cooler tomorrow and check for problems, I suspect there is one.

seeker, my NB which is the same as yours used to fluctuate a lot but now it flat llines, 36 idle and 38 load, it's the delta thats important

i know its kinda high but that's because the fans on the exos are barely moving, i like quiet :)

I have found the problem. The Twinplex was not tight enough on the NB. I think that when I modded the screen for the Twinplex I was overly cautious.
I am curious how the rest of you have attached your sensors to the blocks?
