Talking on the phone through a computer?

hello, im not sure if im posting this in the right spot. but i was wondering if there was a way to talk on the phone using... well i guess the PCI board is a 56k modem it has a line in and a line out to the phone. i was wondering if i can just use the line in and use a headset to talk with. or is there something i can buy for this? i know enough about computers but i just duno the answer to this. your help is appreciated, thanks
 
If the modem has a connection to your soundcard, yes you can use your headphone, however depending on the modem you may get like a CB radio, I talk, you listen, you talk I listen, not both talk at once, half duplex and full duplex.
