Take a gander at this

[Little_Kenny]

One piece of good news I can offer is that the new v5 FAH client has a "collection server" which adds an additional server to collect WUs when the original server is down (like 120 is now).

Saw this over here about mid way down. Looks like a new version to handle down servers. Maybe other improvements as well. Didn't have time to check.

it is about time they did this........

[OSUguy98]

and NOW they do this after I finally convince my parents to get cable internet Oh well... I'm gonna build a farm anyhow

It's about time they did something. It seems to me like they should just have some kind of front end server directing you to whichever server is available. The whole idea of one server handling one type of WU seems pretty outdated.

I agree...have they ever heard of load balancing???

That was my thought...

[Mattman]

Yeah, they balance the load by adding a new server for each new protein they want to run.

I'm glad I'm only donating cycles and not money.

Certainly better late than never. Good to hear that may also now get some relief.
