I have $300 to spend on system upgrades and I would like to get your advice/opinions on what I am about to buy. Also, it should be known that I only buy from newegg.com.

Current system:

Lian-Li PC-7
Antec 350watt PSU
MSI KT4AV Via KT400
AMD XP1800+ (had a unlocked 2500+ but cracked core). w/Thermaltake Volcano9
1x512mb Crucial PC-2700
PNY GeforceFX 5200 (getting 9800pro in 2 months)
1xWD 80gb 7200rpm ATA100 8mb cache
1xMaxtor 80gb 7200rpm ATA133 2mb cache
Samsung 16x burner (good for what little burning I do)

Proposed upgrades:

ABIT NF7-S (have ASUS A7N8X-Deluxe, but it gives me lots of problems).
AMD XP2500+ Barton (only want to OC to 11x200)
OCZ Gladiator 3 (seems like a good bang for buck HSF)
Mushkin Level One Dual Pack 184 Pin 512MB(256MBx2) DDR PC-3500

All of this is costing me $295 shipped. And my limit is $300, no more than that.

Anyone have any opinions, suggestions? Does this look like the right path to take?

that seems like a great upgrade actually, I heard good things about that Mushkin Level One Dual Pack 184 Pin 512MB(256MBx2) DDR PC-3500, pc3500 may seem like a waste though because you are only doing 200 fsb, but last I checked the 3200 version actually costs more. The only thing Im not quite sure about is the heatsink and fan, not that I have had any negative experience with that model, but I have no experience with it.

depending on how bad ur mobo works, i would get the 2500+ and save up some more for some better RAM
