After running Folding@Home all day, my processor (Barton 2500+ stock speed) went up to 50C and my case 35C. Is this too hot?

doesn't "sys" mean your northbridge temperature? or is it case?

50C is within the operational limits set down by AMD (if I recall correctly). It may be a bit high for some enthusiasts, myself included.

If your computer is stable at this temperature, you have nothing to worry about.

mine was about 36C case, 54C proc at full load (2400XP-mobile in sig) so I got myself 2 case fans. I wasn't worried about the proc. . .the mobiles at least are rated to much higher temps. . .but I WAS worried about the effect it might have on my HD's. W/ those fans I'm now 30c case, 50C proc full load and much happier.

In the end, I'd say you are probably fine but if you are concerned about it get yourself a fan or 2 and rest easy. . .10 bucks for a fan is worth the peace of mind, imo.
