System Instability

I have a 430 watt Antec TP 2.0 PSU powering a 7800gtx 256 MB, 3700+ CPU, 200GB hdd, 2x1GB ram, a8n-sli premium, tv tuner, and a sound blaster audigy 2 zs.

I am thinking about getting a dual core processor to replace the 3700+ (sicne they are so cheap)

With this PSU I have experienced instabilities, and when I overclock past a certain point on my processor while running prime95 my system will reboot completely. Also if I put my HTT above 280 windows will run fine (prime stable), but when I reboot it will not boot.

Previously I had an Enermax 535 watt PSU that exploded a little more than a year ago. Everything seemed fine when I put the new PSU into the computer, but lately the system seems *slower*

What I want to know is if the Enermax PSU explosion could have caused wear and tear on my components and their lifespan has been considerably shortened, or if the Antec PSU is being overloaded. I do not want to invest in a new processor if my motherboard, ram or graphics card were harmed.

If the components may have been harmed the important ones are all still under warranty (except the processor because I overclocked)

Thanks,
