With 2 6800u's sli total will be around 6500.00 but system will be extremely fast. Older kids like to play also :) Also the motherboard will be replaced with new one but I have prior agreement with friend to purchase it.

Uh-oh! Shane, I really hope you have a good purpose for that awesome setup other than running two 6800Us in SLI, because…uh…that motherboard doesn’t use PCI-Express, it has 4 PCI-X slots which are totally different. The motherboard doesn’t even have an AGP slot. You’re probably just making a joke, and you’re really gonna use all this for a kick-ass server, right? Jeez, I hope so!

some of those prices seem a little high. and the man is right about SLI. i dont even know of any motherboards that have dual pci express 16x

Intel is launching an AMD64 Xeon???

personally, i dont believe it.

does windows xp pro even support 4 processors( 2x using HT)?, also, youd have this mad powerfull machine that costs over 6000 with 2x processors, 2x video cards, but youll only have 140gb of hdd space using 2x raptors, why not 4 or 5. and a more secure raid level. wouldnt a server board such as that require ecc ram, ocz is not ecc.

id rather have a dual 2.5ghz g5 maxed out withh dual 30" displays

Yes it does. Up to 2 Physical and or 4 Virtual. Home Edition is 1 physical and 2 virtual. While Windows Server 2003 Supports up to 8 Physical and 16 Virtual.
