Switching between Eyefinity / Desktop profiles

I have 2 profiles setup: Eyefinity and Desktop. In my Desktop profile, I set it up so that my center monitor is the primary and the monitors to the left/right are extended. When I switch to Eyefinity, everything works fine; however, when I revert to my Desktop profile, my primary monitor is changed and I'm forced to setup the monitor layouts. This happens every time I toggle between the two and I can't figure out how to resolve this. Anyone know what I need to do in order to avoid the hassle?
 
The trick is to switch to extended desktop twice if you're switching back from eyefinity. I have my profiles hotkeyed, so I press the extended desktop hotkey twice. The first time will change back to an extended desktop with the monitors scrambled. The second time will correct the order.
 
I had the same problem for a while and it was annoying. The way I fixed it was by deleting all profiles and all extended displays and recreating them in the opposite order that I had created them previously. I can't remember what order was the correct order, but now I can switch back and forth between them and the screens are always in the right location.
 
Does it change your primary monitor? Or does the taskbar not move to the center monitor? I had this issue some times, where the taskbar doesn't move over to the primary monitor. So there are times I have to unlock the taskbar and move it to the center monitor.
 
Anyone having my issue - group selection is broken unless you reboot. Enabling eyefinity will just disable the two non-primary monitors, but the group configuration pane never pops up. Once you reboot, you simply select "create group" and it works. Of course, the desktops are then totally scrambled, so heaven help you when you go back to disabling it (also takes a reboot). Win7 64bit.
 
Got it to work finally. Not exactly sure which of the suggestion above did the trick, but I bound my profiles to hot keys and everything works. Thx guys :D

hwo do you hotkey the profiles?
 
Profiles manager? :confused: Something outside the normal Catalyst install? My 10.10 install didn't have that.

It's in Catalyst Control Center for me. When you install drivers install the Catalyst Software Suite.
