Switching between Eyefinity and Extended Desktop

is there any way to do this with shortcuts in catalyst control center or even without Windows Vista or Windows 7 shutting all 3 monitors off?

I am using the 9.11 drivers.

I love eyefinity for my gaming and I love the extended desktop for productivity.
I just want to be able to exit out of my game. Hit a shortcut and Wham-O! be at my extended desktop again.

3 monitors are set up in landscape mode if that matters.

Yeah you can switch between these modes by saving profiles in CCC and assigning hotkeys to them. In an ideal world it should switch profiles nice and easy. Unfortunately Ati haven't got this sorted 100% yet. Using CCC 9.10 my experience was that I had to hit the eyefinity profile hotkey 3 times before it changed correctly (first 2 attempts yielded incorrect configurations of either duplications or low resolutions) and 2 times for the extended profile to work.

Using 9.11 and it's even worse. Often I have to setup the configuration manually as the profiles hotkeys don't set it up right. Also a lot of the time the CCC menu takes ages to load or I have to click on it a thousand times.

An Ati dev was on the widescreen gaming forums and acknowledged the profile switching problem so hopefully they will have a fix very soon.

The 5xxx series cards are great but I do miss Nvidia's drivers and software - they are a lot more polished than Ati.

I have the same problems with switching, Every time I end up manually doing it again because the shortcuts never seem to work. I am however trying to use HydraVision with eyefinity. This helps a little working with eyefinity setup for desktop productivity.
