Swiftech Pump noise?

I just picked up and installed the MCP655 Special Edition Variable speed pump, and I have a question.

First off, its set to 5 right now, and seems to be completely bled. I have built numerous watercooling rigs, and am very experienced in bleeding, but this one is doing something odd. There a NO MORE bubbles moving through the rig, not in the res, not in my blocks or rads. When looking through my Acrylic block on my 680, or in my res, I see no more bubbles at all moving through the system.

However... when I turn on the rig, even if its only been off for a few seconds, the pump makes the crackling noise like there is air in it for about 5 seconds or so, and it slowly goes away over the next few seconds. The odd part is that when it is making this noise, I see NO air moving through the system at all...

So, why is it doing this?

WoW!!! Exact problem I am having. But I think its because I have mine on its side. I'm not sure if thats the problem or not. I still have to do some more testing.

I can't hear anything in the video :(. Mine sounds more like a few clunking noises for about 3 seconds. Then goes away

Well this is one of those things where I went to bed and in the morning the noise is gone. Guess whatever small air bubbles that were trapped in the pump made their way out.

It took mine quite a while to get all the tiny, seemingly invisible air bubbles out. Even after running for months 24/7, the water level in my bay res goes down slightly over time and I have to top it off again.

Yeah, my EK 4.0 pump never made that noise once all the large bubbles were out, but either way, its gone now. Just like you mentioned, after weeks of running, the water would still drop a measureable amount in the res, it always makes me think there is a leak, but its just good old fashioned bleeding!
