I picked up a Swiftech MCX370-C last night at Fry's for $9.90. It is one heavy slab of copper. The retention bracket catches all 3 hooks on the socket, but I'm wondering if the weight will snap off the socket during LAN party excursions? Anyone got any experience on this HS? I will pull it off everytime I transport, but I'd rather not.

I would have thought for sure someone would have had some experience with this HS here at [H]ard OCP......................

I used to have that HSF on my CPU before I got my SLK800. If you are concerned about it ripping off when transporting just use some zip ties wrapped around the HSF then connect it to the PSU. The little slots on the PSU are the place to connect the zip tie. Just don't over tighten the zip tie because that might cause the HSF to sit cocked to one side. Good luck!!
