Just bought one of these and have noticed you mount it onto the existing CPU bracket, but does it sit on the 4 x plastic studs like a stock cooler does, or does it sit straight onto the CPU?

Was thinking about removing my 3700 Clawhammers IHS but I obviously don't want to be doing the IHS removal procedure if the block isn't going to sit right.

Thanks

You need to take the Stock HS/Fan mounting bracket off, and using the provided screws, screw it into the back plate. The instructions from Swiftech should outline exactly how to do this.

The instructions that came with mine said to use the existing bracket. Leave it on the board. They even showed it in the illustrations as using a DFI board like mine, but the screws that came with it are too short. It does work.
