Swapping Nvidia Cards?

Newb Question:

I am upgrading my system from a Ti4200 to a 6800, do I need to uninstall the nvidia drivers and reinstall or can I just switch cards and boot seeing as the drivers are the same I think?
 
To be on the safe side I would uninstall your drivers, power down, swap cards and then reinstall the drivers off the CD (or net depending on which version you are going to use) after you reboot.
