Guys........

when I connect my laptop (svideo out from a 9100 mobile), to my HDTV (Samsung 27") I cant see the desktop clearly. I mean, its really really fuzzy and you cant even read anything.....

but when I look at an AVI it looks a lot better.

What can I do?

My laptop resolution is 1400x1050 but I was changing that to 1024x768....

any ideas?

maximum svideo resolution is like 1024x768. Even then it's still interlaced resolution. S-video was designed really for no more than 800x600i resolution on analog TVs. You really want to use the VGA out on the laptop to connect to your HDTV...if the TV doesn't have VGA input, then buy a VGA->component converter. After that you can just use the TV at its native resolution(find out from the documentation...most are either 1080i or 720p. for 720p, you should use 1280x720. for 1080i, most people use 1776x1000 or something like that.

but in terms of Image Quality, what is better, VGA out to Composite RCA, or S-Video?

Component is best, not Composite.

Composite = old crap not even S-Vid quality.

And actually I think VGA or DVI in is the best (some HDTVs have this)
