I am building my first compuer and I like this

CASE

I want a case that is great for keeping the components cool..

Iam planing to use these parts:

AMD 64 3700
MSI NEO2 Platinum
BFG 6800 GT
1gig Ram( not sure which one)
80 GB Hard Drive
DVD drive
CDRW drive

It'll be a great foundation for your system. I loved my Lian Li.
 
its not so much the case, its what kind of airflow you have in it.

You dont need to spend 120 bucks for a case, while that case is nice, it's just really expensive in my opinion.

id look into a case that has room for 2 - 120mm fans, antec has some, among others. Check some of the other cases newegg has.

as long as you have a nice CPU cooler, do a nice job of keeping the wires clean inside the case so they dont impede airflow you'll be fine.
 
Yea Lian Li is expensive...And I'm not sure if they are worth theur price...

I might just get another case........

dont worry about what its made out of. just get one you like and see what types of fans it can take.

aluminum cases are light as hell though.

Sleekest case I've ever owned. Cooling is really good as well. I had 5 fans on my old case (120mm and 80mm led ghetto looking $30 piece of junk) and this one has taken about 15c off temps. Lian Li was my first choice until I discovered the Praetorian!
 
I hadn't thought of that...which surprises me, as I was a rather vocal proponent of the Praetorian. Hell yeah, get that instead of the 65.... I <3'd the Praetorian more than my PC65b.
 
Personally, I have had 2 Lian lis, one full tower and one mid tower. In comparison to others, they are the best in terms of quality. No sharp edges, the aluminum is of better quality, and for the weight, they are very sturdy. I have tried other aluminum cases and looked at those sold by Compusa and I have to admit, you do pay for the quality with Lian li. However, sometimes, they tend to be much more expensive than the improvement in quality. Must be the name factor. Funny thing though is that I just bought and modded a chenbro server cube case (huge sucker) made of steel. Trust me, the weight difference between aluminum and steel is noticeable. My Lian Li full tower (PC-75 i think) has about near to the same surface area as the server and about 1/3 the weight. Thank god the server case has wheels.
