Well I have poured over tons of cases and I could use some suggestions on a winner or two case.

I am looking for something that isn't all bling on the big size for a mid-tower with good cable managment, air flow, easy to work in, and doesn't have a lot of cheap looking plastic on it.

I see a lot of options people have been posting in the sub 100 range. Is there any point spending a little more? I don't think I want to go with a 200-300 buck case this time around.

Thanks!

I have owned everything from $50 cases to $250 cases. For me, I think anything from $89 to $139 will get you just about anything you would ever want. Really, the only things that matter: Is it big enough to hold all your gear, does it have good cooling, and does it have the ability for good cable management. The rest is just, what ever your taste happens to be. A lot of guys like Lian Li. There nice cases, but not my cup of tea. I like the Cooler Master. I have a Storm Scout. It cools well, has enough room for my stuff, and has great cable management. But that may not be your taste. But I think if the case your looking at meets those three criteria you'll be fine.

Antec 902 or the Antec Twelve Hundred. I got the Antec 902 at Microcenter for 120$. It looks and keeps everything cool. The power button and usbs are on the top, and there's fan controllers.

The Twelve Hundred is pretty much the 902 with 12 expansion bays and more CD Drive bays.

So yea, I would recommend either one.

I have looked at both the 902 and the storm scout both are on my list. I was afraid the scout might be on the small side to work in since I haven't seen one up close.

Both of the cases that i mentioned have plenty of room.

I guess it just depends on what hardware you have. I have a pretty big 4870 vid card and a Dark Knight hsf. I didn't have any issues installing it. I just had everything installed on the mobo, except for the vid card, first before putting it into the case. I had it down to the Scout and the Haf 922. I just liked the fact that the interior was painted black on the scout.

I am pretty much going to have the common stuff in this box

I want to plan for large video cards, big HSF, 3 hard drives (one SSD) and one DVD drive

Usually not a big fan of windows but its not a dealbreaker if thats what it comes with.
