Hi all,

I am currently looking for a 24" LCD monitor, I have owned a Dell 21" FPW for about 6 years now, and I think it's time to move on! I LOVED the Dell monitor so I have been looking at the newer models.

I recently tried out a Samsung TN screen, and to say the least, I hated it. It does not have near the image quality my 6 year old screen has. I am not sure TN is my sort of thing, I don't like the issues with the viewing angle, which I definitely noticed on the Samsung.

I am looking to spend around $300 for the screen. I noticed that the U2410 is an IPS and has been getting great reviews, but it's about double what I want to spend. Both the Dell monitors ST2410 and S2409W are TN screens.

I'm not married to Dell, but it was like going on a great date with my 21" FPW, and wanting to go back for more.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or feedback.

Thanks!
George

If you want a stunning 24" IPS rest assured it will cost you well over $300 unless you go with a used one.

Asus VW266H probably has best size ( 25.5 inch ) for $:

The angles are supposed to be a little wider than a regular TN ( mine is currently being shipped ) and my previous monitor was a Samsung Syncmaster 215 TW ( which had some kind of PVA panel, I think. I hope I don't vomit when I see this TN monitor ):

Dell U2410 has text-sparkle and the same wide gamut problems inherant with HP LP2475w ( over saturated colours )

Dell Ultrasharp 2209WA is a 22 inch, IPS, that can be used for gaming. You might be able to get it for $200 in the States with certain representatives:
