any recommendations? nothing too expensive, self powered, and pass through for my fronts is required (no sub out on this receiver) 8" is probably plenty in terms of size

i don't know if a built in crossover is standard or not but would be nice
 
Personally, I hate Polk subs. Lol. You still haven't named your budget.
 
below 400 CAD would be nice (350 USD or so)
 
Energy S10.3 or Mirage Omni S10 gets my vote. Or the 12" versions if you need one that is bigger.
 
ended up with the PSW 111, was on sale for half price and it sounds amazing and has my speaker level inputs i needed ...quite impressed


destroys anything the klipsch pro media 2.1 could do, granted its more money too :)
