Strider Plus versus Strider Gold?

Does anyone know how the Gold compares to the Plus series? Is everything the same except efficiency is better or did something get worse in the Gold?(Like Ripple/Voltage regulartion)
 
They should be fairly similar in other aspects. The Strider Gold line does use a different design, but it's still quite good.

So is it worth it to get the Gold for $10 more than the Plus?
