Getting very weird streaking on the my 3007WFP. It almost looks like water stains that dried on a wall. Most of the time I use a black background and white IDE, so it was not too noticeable - only see it in games. It starting on the edges, but now I'm getting bands in the center areas too. Seems light gray, light blue, etc... Changing resolution, cables, and video cards has no impact, so it looks to be the monitor.

Any insight out there? Linked to a screen shot of the issue.

Try one more thing. New driver. If that does not correct the issue, then I do hope you have a warranty still in effect. My 3007 WFP-HC is clean so you are probably correct in that its the monitor.

Edit: One more thing, touch the + button to brighten the screen to see if it fixes or makes it worse

problems like that are inherent to LCD tech...only thing u can do is try a different cable or exchange for a different monitor and hope for something better...

On the phone with Dell. Under warranty (picked it up Jan of 2007) Looks like they are going to ship a replacement monitor. Took another picture that really shows the issue.

Running the monitor in 'test' cycle - unplugged, power on - the first gray screen shows the ghosting. The subsequent black, white, green, etc are fine.

As always, thanks for the pointers, ideas, help!

Good news that you got from Dell Tech. I would not stand for it either. Good luck
