Can anyone point out to me why does firefox go to http://www.sellsbrothers.com/spout/ when you middle/scrollwheel click on one of the tabs?

I thought when you do this you are supposed to close that tab?

Is this some crazy extension mixup?

I tried googling, but could not find the answer.

Any of you guys know?

Wrong forum, and you're not being clear.

If you are on some random site, and you middle click on a tab, it opens that page in a new tab, or that tab?

Middle button may or may not close your tab, it depends on your mouse setup. If middle button is set to close window (ctrl-F4) as opposed to close application (alt-F4) it may close the window.

Whoopsie, sorry about posting in the wrong forum.

It opens up in the tab that I middle clicked on.

Hmmm.... this is all too weird.

PS: It seems that the website is random as now it goes to http://www.senate.gov/ . This is bizzare.

Spyware/virus problem? Try running some scans and let us know.

I was hoping that it was not that. But I figured it out.

It takes whatever is on the clipboard and googles it and then displays the first link (just like im feeling lucky button)

Haha ... thats interesting ...

I had my name on the clipboard and then I middle clicked the tab and it went to my page ... pretty weird !
