Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Is there any reason my idle temps should have changed from the low 30's to upper 40's to mid 50's? I havn't so much as moved the computer, but the temps have been much higher today. proc. is a 2500+ w/ a SLK-900A and 80mm fan
If there is no change externally, then I'd definitely say you've got a fan problem. Check all your fans, hit them with some compressed air and the HS while you're at it. I'd say you've got some sort of restriction somewhere since you didn't touch the case and had that huge of an increase in temps.
Or, lil' brother may have upped some voltages, heh.
the fans are all working and clean. i just got them about a week ago. CPU usage hasn't gone over 15%. i've run AVG and spybot s&d and come up with nothing. its down to 37 right now, but it often jumps up for a while.
