We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I have been attempting to post a link to a file on megaupload, but after I save, the label for the link changes to something else.

What I mean is I do url="link", put brackets around that, then the link label in plain text, then /url in brackets after that. It stays the same when I preview the post, but after I hit save and look at the posted article, the link label gets changed to "MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service", and it shows in the post as about half a dozen blank lines.

I think it's trying but failing to do something like what happened when I posted to the Thunderbolt (interface) wikipedia article in this post:

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1623396

That was very unexpected behavior to me. Is this intended behavior? If it is, it's broken for megaupload.

Some changes were made to the forum to embed youtube videos and some other types of items, and it looks like the rewrite function caught that link. To the best of my knowledge there's no way to stop that from happening from your end of things.

I know that it's been tweaked in the past, and Kyle checks this forum regularly, so if it's something he wants addressed I'm sure it will be. In the mean time, that's just how it works.
