I have an epox 8rda3+ board and an ati 9000 aiw, the board supports up to agp 8x and i'm not sure what the card does, but when i check the agp speed with sisoft sandra it says it tuns at 1x while it should run at 4x and another place it tells me both should be running at 2x, i have up to agp 8x enabled in the bios. Are there any recommendations as to what i should do to try and fix this issue. I think my ingame performace is pretty good, i can play mohaa around 100 to 200 fps, and half life 2 plays fine in terms of fps. I'm kinda lost as to where to start.

AH another thing, when i put a 9200 graphics card in my comp doesn't boot, just stays at a black screen , but when i put this one back in it works fine, i don't remember what error code the thing gives, unless i try to switch em out again later. The Mobo has the latest bios from summer of last year, and i think there's suppose to be a new one coming out soon.

Ah yes one more thing, i have fast writes enabled in the bios but sandra says that fast writes aren't enabled, and this is all the info from the motherboard not from the graphics card.

Don't pay attention to what Sandra says.

Go into your Display settings and look at what the drivers are reporting.

i checked it with powerstip and it says it's at 4x, that sounds right, and it's using dma mode, ??? does that sound right? and it's got 58 mg available.

Have you loaded the chipset drivers for your MB ?
It sounds like the AGP Gart driver isn't loaded !

I had the same issue you had with the Ati 9000 when switching out the card, I switched mine out with a NVIDIA MX440Se at 4x instead of the Ati 9200. When I turned the computer on all I’d get was beeping, unplugging things that I didn’t need to boot with confirmed it, and the issue was the power supply was too small.
