Storing watercooled systems

I have a few systems that are watercooled and due to the economy, work is sending me out of state, half the country away, for most of the summer.
I will take my HTPC listed below, but none of the other systems.

My intent is to drain them and place them inside the cab of a vehicle that is already in storage. There is no climate control at the storage facility.

Is there anything special I should do to the systems for storage? Or when I return to them?
All I intend to do, is drain them, and then flush them out and clean them before service again.
Anything I am missing?

That seems reasonable for the waterloops.

One other thought - is it covered storage? Depending on where you're at, the cab of a car in direct sun could melt plastic...

No, no. Covered storage. A line of a buildings with a garage doors to lock setup. The vehicle only sees the light of day in certain parts of the year.
I start it on occasion and run it a bit every so often, tho that will be impossible this summer.

It stays pretty cool inside. It worries me a tad due to the humidity that we see around here. I have things in the cab of the truck to keep it smelling nice and absorb moisture. It never has looked like it sees to much moisture the past couple of years.

Just worried about storing them. I don't want o have to come back and rebuild four systems you know. Plus it's the only option I have to keep them safe while I am gone at the moment.

just flush everything with water and leave them empty and you should be fine. you might want to leave the loops open (not sealed) to let moisture evaporate and prevent buildup of pressure with temperature changes. there shouldnt be much else you have to do though.

I will keep that in mind and leave the loop exposed to the open. Thanks.

Poor things, I hate to leave them, but I like my job.

you could send them to me... ill taake good care of them lol no as long as you drain them and leave them open it should be fine

Thank you so kindly for the offer, but no..... I wish I could store it at a friends house, but the ones I trust moved away. I have seen to many Youtube vids of UPS in action so mailing them is out of the question.
The server is heavy, not to mention the Gamer isn't light either.

This is the best course of action by far.

lol i was just kidding i wouldnt want that anyways that would be weird to say the least, i hope it works out for you.
