Hello

Slowly I want to prepare for build some storage for my home environment, home lab and external for customers lab.

I'm looking for some free OS for manage storage.
What you can recommend for me ?
FreeNAS ?
Openiler ?

others ?

What about LUNs. Do I will be able to set up this feature ?

For example LUN per VLAN, some security priviliges (NTFS?)

Also I need features like a SAMBA, CIFS, NFS

I will use RAID10 on normal 7200 rpm hard disks (black series) configuration with external Raid controller from LSI, and 2 NICs 4 x GBE each.
That storage will be connected to my core switch Cisco 3750G (ether-channels, VLANs, etc etc ... )

Also do you know any 2U chassis where i will be put all stuff ?
For a plus will be for me put inside some insulation mats.

I'm waiting for your suggestion mates.
