Hey Guys

I have a little problem with my sisters rig. Sometimes when I turn it on it will run the video check. The one where you get

Geforcefx5200 128mb
Bios ver
etc.

In the left hand corner then you get that little flickering line, then it will go into windows boot.

The thing is that the computer will sometimes hang during that video check with that blinking Flicker. It wont go into windows boot untill I restart it like 2 times.

Could you pls help me figure out what it is? Is it the ram, Video, Maybe the ASUS mobo?

thanks

Can you please post specific specs of the system? When someone lists all the parts in the sig, we can help out much easier and quicker for your sake. I'm not too familiar with the FX series but my old GeForce4 TI4200 (which burned down on me...anyhow) posted with GeForce 4 TI 4200 version blah blah also. I don't know if its standard for all GeForce brand cards to do that, but the flicking...have you checked out your video card/monitor connection? Does your bios support some of the hardware you have in there (if its too old)? Did you try reinstalling or changing some drivers or updating drivers (if not, try it. No harm in trying). Of course, always check your bios settings to see if it has any conflicts with your system. Hope this helps.
