• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

I was just given a 11061 project but the F@H client seems to be hung. The status is "Update_Core". The log file says:

*********************** Log Started 2012-10-18T15:52:01Z ***********************
15:52:02:ERROR:WU01:FS00:Exception: Failed to connect to www.stanford.edu:80: The requested address is not valid in its context.
15:53:02:ERROR:WU01:FS00:Exception: Failed to connect to www.stanford.edu:80: The requested address is not valid in its context.
15:54:39:ERROR:WU01:FS00:Exception: Failed to connect to www.stanford.edu:80: The requested address is not valid in its context.

Thoughts??

To me it looks like borked state in the client itself.

Did you try completely shutting the client down and restarting it?

you did not happen to change the client name from local did you.

nope. It was working just fine until this morning when it finished the WU and went to get another one. Then this started happening. It is still borked.

Strange stuff going on here and it just keeps trying to update the core. Lost an entire day's worth of production.

disabling ipv6 did the trick, but I don't like doing this... Let's hope they find a way to fix it that doesn't impact the donor network security.
