Standardise Casing Pins

Why won't motherboard manufacturers standardise the way pins like [power led, speaker, power switch, reset, blah blah blah] are placed on the motherboard so that casing manufacturers can just come out with one long stretch of pin?

Wouldn't it be easier when installing the motherboard together with the casing?
 
It would be easier for the end user, but that doesn't seem to faze the mobo manufacturers a bit....seems like everything in the industry has a controlling standard, but the mobo only conforms to the AT, ATX, babyAT, etc size and shape standards to fit standard cases, but doesn't slop over to control pin placement unfortunately.

Simple..

Costs. But not the mobo manufacturers costs.

Case manufacturers don't build their speakers, led's, or power switches. Those come from somewhere else, and have leads on them. I can almost guarantee you that every computer case that has a speaker gets them from one place. My personal question is why do we need all that crap in the first place? :)
