So... Does anyone have any ideas on fixing / troubleshooting a stalled fan on a Visiontek Ti-4600? I've been experiencing 10-15 second freezes during hardware accelerated gameplay, so I'm thinking the GPU is heating up to some kind of limit and stopping while it cools down... but what do I know...

Benchmarks run smoothly and yield scores on par with whats expected for my system / card combo, but games like Warcraft freeze every now and then...

Any ideas for a quick fix or diagnostic, short of buying a new GPU cooler?

You could try oiling the fan, many times that helps (especially on older hardware). Beyond that, get a new one, they're very cheap

As far as a diagnostic goes, download rthdribl (cant recall the link, google it) set that running and watch your temps in the forceware panel. Or set a game running in windowed mode at high res and watch temps. Youll know if thats your issue then.

As far as fixing it, its prob not worth the effort, something like the vantec iceberg will be as good if not better than stock and set you back very little.
