SSD in production server?

I'm looking to build a new server. Uptime has to be like 100% if possible. So of course the obvious idea is to use SSDs. Maybe in a RAID 5 array. Is this practical for a server now? Which class of drive would be best? Is there anything special I need to know before buying drives for a high availability server?
 
Firstly, If you are building it yourself, and it is for business purposes, that doesn't seem practical in itself. If you were to build it yourself, it all comes down to how much space you need, and your budget. Definately get SLC and don't touch any MLC flash memory for durability and lifespan. If 100% uptime is important, RAID 1 is absolutely better than RAID 5.

But again, you shouldn't be building a business server yourself.
