I cloned a 1TB HD holding a Windows 8.1 x64 GPT partition onto a 120GB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD for a Laptop I just bought.

I left the process to run because I had work to go do and when I came back the process seemed to have finish but the drive would no longer be read on any computer.

I did this through a external USB connections.

I haven't got a chance to put a direct sata connection to the drive yet.

Once I do that I am really hoping the drive will show up in the BIOS.

My question here is if it does or doesn't show up does anybody have an idea's of what I am going to need to do in order to get this drive back to an usable state?

Thanks.

i think if previously you were using a mbr for boot hdd, then the step is, after you had installed the drive as your os, just go bios and change from mbr to uefi gpt.
