I was just reading the new features of SRM 5.0 and one of the things that jumped at me was the Hypervisor Based Replication.

As a result, the source and target does not need to have like hardware. I have many customers who have a SAN in their production site but unfortunately cannot afford another SAN in the DR site.

It looks like with SRM 5.0, you can have essentially anything on the remote side (does not need to have like hardware and it also supports local storage)

Sounds awesome.

Yes. With SRM 5 you get host-based replication included in the price of the license. They are also offering two license levels...a much cheaper option for <75 VMs and the Enterprise option for >75 VMs. Both come with the replication feature. You also get easy fail-back with any supported replication.
