For those of you that own dash cams what material do you use to mount them?

I bought a Spy Tec A119S camera and it came with double sided 3M tape, I mounted it behind the mirror on that little black plastic square, I went to work and came back on a hot day and found the dashcam on my dash. I don't want to mount it to the window as I have 70% tint on it and don't want to mess it up.

Any ideas?
