What the heck is the spread spectrum clock generator under the chipset section in my Asus P4C800-E deluxe bios and what does it do? Should I have it enabled or disabled?
 
It helps to reduce electronic wave interference outside the box.
If you ever held an AM radio next to the rig you would hear all the RF noise leaking out.
You can disable it with no problems, especially if you Oclk
 
OMG, THAT HELPED A TON, i disbaled it, and now my voltages are correct!! Before my vcore wouldn't go to the voltage I set it to.. now everything is correct.. damn that spread spectrum setting!! When will people learn to stop putting radios next to their PC's!!!
 
it turns out, my 3.0 was running at 3.6 on 1.62 volts... I dont know how that's possible, it seems sorta low.. but I guess now I'll set it to that.. haha.... I'm glad it wasn't really dishin out 1.75 volts this whole time.. that woulda killed it...
