is there a reason why under the mobo etc arent sprayed? i wanna spray myn black as part of a mod project, is this ok?

go for it.
just make sure not to get paint in the threads that the standoffs go into, stuff a small wad of paper towel or a tissue or something.
 
ill probs just go for it. and cover the stand off threads with a bit of tape (they wont be seen). is there any other probs like electro static or heat with painting it?
 
no probs. And you dont need to worry about covering the threads. When you paint the best advice is already on the can.
Spray several light coats allowing a few min. between them. Dont hold the spray in 1 place.

Make sure you give it a light sanding first and clean the surface good.
 
Sand it, prime it, then paint the final color, if you want it to last and look good.
 
Why not just put some screws in the standoffs, then paint? The screws will protect the threads, and you get some nice matching black screws in the process.

Nobody sees the screws, they're behind the MB, plus when the paint dries.......they're stuck like a big dog.

Primer is a very good idea.
 
The screws will stick only if you apply waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much paint. Painting takes patience. Don't try to coat it with one pass. It takes several lights coats to get a good finish. Keep the coats to almost a dusting and you'll be fine.
 
I painted the inside of my Armor the last time I rebuilt my computer, and it wasn't that hard. the suggested previously posted are good ones. Use a good quality automotive primer and decent paint and you should be fine. Sand lightly in between coats and don't try to paint the entire inside in 1 setting. I would recomend a flat color or semi gloss vrs. a gloss, but that is just personal preferance.
