Specific cable for sound input into TV?

I inherited a computer with a optical and coax spdif output on it and I need to get sound into my TV. My TV inputs for either HDMI or DVI from the computer offers a L/R channel COAX input. Is there a cable that does this on its own or do I need to buy a TOSLINK cable then use a converter box that splits that signal into two coax channels? THANKS!
 
Ok, so the L/R coax inputs are analog audio. You have a few ways this could work out, I will order these in best to worst.
Best: HDMI audio, if your video card supports this it is the best way to go, audio just comes along with the video and you only need the one cable. Unless you have really ancient stuff, this should be supported for you. If you use this you will need to make sure windows is putting the audio out the right ports -- the HDMI port will essentially show up as another sound card on your PC, so in the Sound control panel you will have to set it as the default. What exactly are you trying to plug into the TV? Is it a video card or integrated video out? What platform/card/etc?

If you ALSO have a digital audio input on the TV, then you can use the coax out to digital in (also coax) on the back of tv. Sounds like you don't have this though.

Last resort would be analog audio out. Just get a cable that goes from 3.5mm headphone jack to L/R coax, should be available at anywhere that sells these types of cords. Then go from the audio output (green jack) on PC to those L/R on tv.
 
Solved my problem for me. Thanks. The PC is a gifted alienware that has a Soundblaster Recon 3Di in it and I assumed that was my main option for sound out. I just switched over to HDMI and it solved the problem. Thanks again for the quick response.
